An event every week that begins at 6:00pm on Wednesday and Thursday, repeating until April 27, 2017
Thursdays in March
Join Stuard Derrick for the Library’s new Acting Shakespeare course Thursdays evenings from the first week in March to Mid-May in the Lower Level Reading Room. The class will culminate with a presentation at the May Writer’s Voice Café on Wednesday, May 10. The cost of the entire workshop is $25.00, and to ensure quality, the course is limited to 12 attendees. Experience is NOT necessary! The class will be required to memorize a monologue of their choosing, a scene with a scene partner of the instructor’s choosing, and a sonnet (they will not have to memorize the sonnet, but will become familiar with blank verse and sonnet sequence). This will give attendees a great opportunity to get a Shakespeare monologue under their belt for future auditions! To register, contact Library Director Matt Clark at mpclark@provincetown-ma.-gov or 508-816-6373.
