Food For Fines
This November, the Provincetown Public Library will continue one of its most well-received initiatives every year: the Food for Fines program. Food for Fines enables patrons facing overdue book fines to get into the giving spirit and directly benefit needy families in the community by donating food items in place of Library late fees. Please bring non perishable food items to the main circulation desk to participate in this great program! Be sure to check the dates on each item to ensure that no food items are passed their expiration date. Each donated food item will remove $5 worth of fees from patrons’ fine records. All goods will be given to the Provincetown United Methodist Church Food Pantry. The 2017 Food for Fines program will run until November 30, 2017.
