The Provincetown Public Library welcomes the community to participate in the February French Film series screened at the Provincetown Public Library on each Wednesday of the month. This line-up of films will feature notable French foreign-language titles from the silver screen. Patrons are encouraged to bring their own snacks and refreshments. The films start at 5:30 pm and will be shown in the following order:

February 6: The Intouchables (2011; 1 hour, 52 minutes): After he becomes a quadriplegic from a paragliding accident, an aristocrat hires a young man from the projects to be his caregiver.

February 13: Summer Hours (L’Heure D’Ete) (2008; 1 hour, 43 minutes): Two brothers and a sister witness the disappearance of their childhood memories when they must relinquish the family belongings to ensure their deceased mother’s succession.

February 20: Sarah’s Key (Elle s’appelait Sarah)(2010; 1 hour, 51 minutes): In modern-day Paris, a journalist finds her life becoming entwined with a young girl whose family was torn apart during the notorious Vel’ d’Hiv Roundup in 1942.

February 27: Disorder (Maryland) (2015; 1 hour, 38 minutes): Vincent is an ex-soldier with PTSD who is hired to protect the wife and child of a wealthy Lebanese businessman while he’s out of town. Despite the apparent tranquility in Maryland, Vincent perceives an external threat.
