One event on December 18, 2019 at 5:30 pm
The Provincetown Public Library welcomes the community to participate in the December free movie month comprised of three feature films that will highlight perilous situations in wintry weather! This line-up of classic and contemporary films has been carefully selected by Deb Karacozian, Library staff member and film aficionado. The films start at 5:30 pm and will be shown in the following order:
December 4: Fargo (1996; 1 hour, 38 minutes): Jerry Lundegaard’s inept crime falls apart due to his and his henchmen’s bungling and the persistent police work of the quite pregnant Marge Gunderson.
December 11: The Ice Storm (1997; 1 hour, 52 minutes): In suburban New Canaan, Connecticut, 1973, middle class families experimenting with casual sex and substance abuse find their lives beyond their control.
December 18: The Day After Tomorrow (2004; 2 hour, 4 minutes): Jack Hall, paleoclimatologist, must make a daring trek from Washington, D.C. to New York City to reach his son, trapped in the cross-hairs of a sudden international storm which plunges the planet into a new Ice Age.
