The Provincetown Public Library welcomes the community to participate in the May’s free movie month comprised of three feature films taking place on the high seas in honor of our Second Annual Moby Dick Marathon Reading event. This line-up of classic films has been carefully selected by Marc Strauss, Professor Emeritus in Theatre and Dance from Southeast Missouri State University. Professor Strauss will give a short presentation on each film in the series, and also host a question and answer session at the conclusion of the screening each week. The films start at 5:30 pm and will be shown in the following order:

April 5: Mutiny on the Bounty (1935; Clark Gable, Charles Laughton; 2 hours, 12 minutes)
April 12: Jaws (1975; Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss; 2 hours, 4 minutes)
April 19: Moby-Dick (1956; Gregory Peck; 1 hour, 56 minutes)
