Heritage Day Celebration at the Provincetown Library
Thursday, June 14
6:00 pm
The Provincetown Board of Library Trustees will celebrate our community’s rich history on the evening of Thursday, June 14 with the 2018 Heritage Day Celebration. This year’s event will feature Michael Roberts, Executive Director of the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown. Roberts will be joined by a few friends of the Work Center for a conversation about its history and 50-year anniversary.   The Fine Arts Work Center, founded in 1968,  is a nationally renowned residency program for emerging artists and writers.  Since its inception, it has awarded 1,000 Fellowships to writers and artists, many who have gone on to receive virtually every major prize awarded  today, including the Turner Prize, the Prix de Rome, the Pulitzer Prize, and the National Book Award.

The Provincetown Public Library 2018 Heritage Day Celebration is a free event open to all visitors and community members.  The program begins at 6:00 pm on Thursday, June 14th.
