Out Late with Diana Di Gioia
November 9 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Singer/songwriter Diana Di Gioia describes her songs as combining “word nerd lyrical skills with rock ‘n’ roll energy”. On Saturday November 9th. she’ll be bringing her award winning music, along with her band, Out Late, to the Marc Jacobs Reading Room at the Provincetown Public Library for a 3:00 pm concert.
The band features Di Gioia on vocals and rhythm guitar, J Hagenbuckle on lead guitar, Melody Masi on backing vocals and Peter Giordano on bass. Together their sound is upbeat, guitar driven, and powered by danceable rhythms, with influences from surf to rockabilly to swing blues.
Payomet Performing Arts Center says, “She and her band bring youthful energy, exuberant sound and fun storytelling to her original body of songs.”, and the Barnstable Patriot says, “….. playful, engaging, sexy, and sometimes irreverent. She delights audiences…..from Provincetown to her home here on the mid Cape, with her honest, funny and hope-filled songs.”
Di Gioia’s first CD was featured on the nationally syndicated American Public Radio Series “This Way Out”. Her second disc includes “Ptown Pants” a song for all who strut their stuff on a Saturday night along Provincetown’s main drag. In 2018 the band released “Nevermore”, their third CD.
Out Late with Diana Di Gioia has performed at The Cape Cod Women’s Music Festival, Payomet Performing Arts Center, Provincetown’s Writer’s Voice Cafe and Coffeehouse at the Mews, along with festivals, coffeehouses and First Night celebrations on Cape Cod and beyond.
