An event every week that begins at 6:00pm on Wednesday, repeating until March 26, 2020

Winter Wednesdays is a free community program aimed toward bringing people together to learn new skills, meet other locals, and stay active and connected during the quiet winter moths on Cape Cod.  The program runs Wednesday evenings from 6 to 8 pm, February 5 to March 25.  Free travel is available for Provincetown, Truro, and Wellfleet through Cape Cab.  Free childcare is also available! Classes include:

Intro to Illumination: Learn the forgotten art of illumination, the decoration of manuscripts and scrolls.  Make your own handcrafted illuminated manuscript or scroll for any occasion.  Various techniques will be introduced.  Instructor: Helena Mota

The Art of Dying: Death Education and Conversation: Nurturing  a positive and curious relationship to our own inevitable ending.  Instructor: Dawn Walsh

Talk (Wood)shop: Work alongside your friends and neighbors with guidance from woodworking professionals.  Bring your own materials and projects or work together on a group project.  Wood shop tools and equipment are available for use.  Instructor: Nate McKean

The Art of Calligraphy: Get acquainted with the tools, materials, and techniques that every calligrapher needs in this introductory course. Instructor: Jan Flanders

Bookbinding & Zine-Making: Learn to bind a book by hand.  Techniques of monastic bookbinding, tearing paper with bone folder, folding paper to create signatures, and more. Instructor: Wayne Bund

Improv 101: Learn the basics of improv in an inclusive, funny, and empowering atmosphere. Instructor: Katie Pentedemos

Graphic Design: Basics & Beyond: An overview of the fundamentals of graphic design.  Learn examples and discuss one or more key components of graphic design in each class.  Learn how these components are used to create items such as logos, brochures, flyers, ads, and packaging.  Instructor: Grant King

Storytelling through Media: A series of classes designed to encourage people to try new techniques and equipment to produce audio, video, and photos to tell a story of their own. Instructor: Amy Davies

Future Proofing Cape Cod: A creative exploration of sustainability sone through a unique and unusual lense.  Instructor: Ian Edwards

Ayurveda: Discovery of the Inner Healer: Journey to a new level of wellness by understanding the relationship of nature’s elements, honoring individual constitution, tuning into nature’s rhythms, incorporating healing herbs and spices, and breath work.  Instructor: Jamila Colozzi
