On Friday, April 7, the Writers Voice in partnership with the Provincetown Public Library will hold a free Clothesline Project Workshop led by Staff from Independence House. The Clothesline Project is a visual display that bears witness to violence against women. Each t-shirt is created and designed to represent a particular person’s experience, by the survivor or by someone who cares about the survivor. Designing a shirt and having it be part of the Clothesline Project is a healing step for many. Participants will design their own t-shirt with a personal message about his/her experience. It is an important part of the healing journey for many. Each t-shirt tells a unique story. Please bring a bag lunch.
