Writer’s Voice Cafe
September 11, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
This month, the Provincetown Public Library continues its collaborative effort with the renowned Writers Voice Café. Continuing to further its mission of becoming a center for cultural storytelling in our community, the Library is working with the founding members of the Writer’s Voice Café to produce a series of monthly Cafés, Writing Workshops and Annual Events in 2019. Founded and hosted by Dian Hamilton in 2007, with Hilde Oleson and Lorraine Kujawa joining shortly thereafter, the Writer’s Voice Café provides writers and artists of all genres opportunities to share their work and to connect with others in the community for support and inspiration.
The September Writer’s Voice Cafe will feature a presentation, discussion, and sharing for caregivers of loved ones by Melanie Braverman, author, Co-founder and Cultural Director of the AFSC.
The Alzheimer’s Family Support Center of Cape Cod is dedicated to helping families and individuals live their fullest lives. Created by caregivers for caregivers, the Alzheimer’s Center provides an array of personalized services and pragmatic counseling to the 10,000 families, individuals, and caregivers on Cape Cod currently living with Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related illnesses.
The goal of the Alzheimer’s Family Support Center of Cape Cod is to help families navigate the complexities and challenges they face across the span of these diseases, while providing a research-based family and community-centered social model. All services provided by Alzheimer’s Family Support Center of Cape Cod are provided free of charge.
The Writer’s Voice Cafe as a part of The Writer’s Voice supports, inspires and celebrates writers of artistic works of all genres on Cape Cod with a leaning toward the Outer Cape. We work in partnership with the Provincetown Public Library.
