A Poem by Jamie Demetriou

Like a sniper, I keep my weapon with me at
all times
Stealthy I look to shoot, to stop, to steal
I keep my prize, that frozen piece of time
And then I look again
The time stamp
What I was remembering, reflecting
The point and shoot book of my life
The story of days, and years
The storytelling I share, not all,
but mostly
The private story between the lines
Love of the lense is the catalyst of though
Yes I steal these precious views of this
prized earth, but only to share the beauty
and what it inspires
