The Warmth of Winter
A Poem by Hilde Oleson

Which was warmer?
The lone snow flake that fell upon my cheek
And slid into a single tear?
Or the one inch blanket of snow that lightly perched,
Covering the trees and ground
As lightly as a kiss.
Perhaps the warmest thing was yet
The heart of a friend who knew
I needed to be brought to see
A wonder gift sent down from heaven.
