Peepers Spring Serenade
A Poem by Jan Kelly

The full fog – the passage of a week
Giving the growth of many more peepers
The fog having the barometric pressure,
Silencing the distracting sounds of the day
And, as the evening darkens, viola!
Sounds that even deaf ears can respond to
Blurred and greying pines fade into the magic,
As we do.
