A Poem by Marylou Mansfield

I wander
the soundless,
stretched beneath
my senses,
my realities,
my dreams
like one pursued
by unknown entities,
ghostly shadows
of what could have,
might have been.
Mind conjures
flashes of living,
the good,
the bad,
the terrifying,
the enthralling,
while scratching along walls,
grasping corners.
Search for glimmers,
breathe promise,
pray guidance for
one step
in front of the other,
moving forward.
That is the calling─
seeking the light,
reaching for the One
who knows.
I will find my way.
I will.
