Barometric Pressure
A Poem by Jan Kelly
The breezes, so soft and seductive
The crickets’ chirps down to a murmur
The tempo of the swaying leaves
Sounding like slow waves of an incoming tide
Touching sand, receding and, pushing
A touch more, wetting the beach
welcoming the coming rain
Finally coaxed to land.
