A Poem by Jamie Demetriou

Another dawn
Another low tide
Another day of lobstering
Yet today is different
It’s crisper
Less noisy
There is ease in my daily maneuvers
The side streets giveaway to a garden
overlooking the harbor
Lovers still stroll the streets
But it’s different
Not harrier
In the air there is change and space
Thought provoking views of this town
and her beauty
So much history here
My history
Another fall is on her way
And the roots deepen
In this little place
That saved me
