Alone I Tumbled
A Poem by Corinne Diana
Alone I tumbled on the stage,
Leapt cartwheels up and down-
Alone I tumbled, slipped and slid
Like Emmett Kelly’s clown.
An arabesque, a tortured pose
And then a crumpled ball-
Contorting limbs, distorting life,
Amazing one and all.
