January Sunset
A Poem by Jim Cornell
Cold January day
Leaden clouds
Hanging low overhead
The ocean surface
Is calm, shrouded
In dull grey
As afternoon drew
To a close
On the western horizon
Clouds parted
And sunset blossomed
In a bright
Carnelian display.
