Change – Change Makes Us Change
A Poem by Jan Kelly
The new moon
A slim golden crescent
So precise in all its
rounded attributes
Spiked to crescent form
How can you balance
In the frigid sky
So far away
So slim, just about shifting
To where
We on earth can only imagine,
Hoping you will not disappear
Completely
But will fill us so full
as you will yourself
As the for night, tides
And celestial movements do
We wait for your roundness
Your weight
Your light
We wait
Visual is constant knowledge
