Summer
A Poem by Sydney Cropper
The warm sun beating down on my tan skin
The cool sea breeze rushes through my blonde hair
My friends and I lay in the sand and win
Endless days and endless nights with no care
The smell of smoke and laughter everywhere
Gathered with pals in sweatshirts and blankets
Cuddled together staring at the fire
Poured some coke into a cup and drank it
Staring at the stars that shine so brightly
Living the moment making memories
Close friendships bounded together tightly
The bright sun creeps slowly then hurries
As warm days pass by the sun shines stronger
I just wish that Summer would stay longer
