Alfred B. Delbello: His Life and Times with author John Lipman

Tuesday, December 6 at 6:00 pm in the Marc Jacobs Reading Room

Local author John Lipman will present his new biography, ”Alfred B. DelBello: His Life and Times.” This riveting story chronicles the career of one of America’s most extraordinary political leaders during his rise from the trailblazing mayor of Yonkers, New York to the remarkably successful  county executive of Westchester. Known for his bipartisanship, he became lieutenant governor of New York in 1982 but was frustrated by a gubernatorial administration that tied his hands, hastening his departure two years later.

John A. Lipman is a writer and public policy consultant whose work has appeared in newspapers and journals throughout New England and the Washington, DC region. He spent 15 years in environmental policy working for the Chesapeake Bay Commission, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the Cape Cod Commission. John lives in Orleans.
