May 14: 1984 (1984, 1h 53m) - In a totalitarian future society, Winston Smith, whose work is re-writing history, tries to rebel. He meets a kindred spirit named Julia and they fall into a love affair.

May 21: To Kill a Mockingbird (1962, 2h 9m) - A widowed lawyer in Depression-era Alabama defends a black man against a false rape charge while teaching his young children about the sad reality of prejudice.

May 28: Persepolis (2007, 1h 36m) - A precocious and outspoken Iranian girl grows up during the Islamic Revolution.
