Provincetown Poems: Poetic Souvenirs from the Tip of Cape Cod written and performed by Bill Koch

Thursday, April 20 at 6:00 pm in the Marc Jacobs Reading Room

Join poet Bill Koch for a reading of his Provincetown-inspired poetry and brief commentaries.  Poems will include “Piano on the Beach,” “Rose Dorothea,” and more, all written between 2010 and 2022.

For 30 years, Bill has left big-city life to visit his spiritual getaway: Provincetown. Come share the people, animals, sky, sea, forest, and spirits of this beautiful, fun, life-affirming place, as recorded in his poetic diaries.

William Henry Koch, Jr. has been writing poetry since he was 17 years old.  His heroes are William Shakespeare, e.e. cummings and Walt Whitman.  He is a member of the American Society of Poets, and won the International Library of Poetry’s Editor’s Choice Award in August 2007.

Bill has performed his poetry collections “SONNETS FROM THE TOWER” & “SONNETS ON THE PAINTINGS OF VAN GOGH”, and his plays “THE SEVEN DESCENTS OF NAAMAN” & “LOT’S WIFE” at the Provincetown Library.
