Join us for Wednesday Night Movies at the Library! This month we are showing five films featuring rebellious men! This line-up of classics has been carefully selected by Mary Alice Wells, Library staff member and film aficionado. The films start at 5:30 pm and will be shown in the following order:
March 2: The Defiant Ones (1958; 1 hour, 36 minutes): Two escaped convicts chained together, white and black, must learn to get along in order to elude capture.
March 9: The Wild One (1953; 1 hour, 19 minutes): Two rival motorcycle gangs terrorize a small town after one of their leaders is thrown in jail.
March 16: The Thomas Crown Affair (1968; 1 hour, 2 minutes): A debonair, adventuresome bank executive believes he has pulled off the perfect multi-million dollar heist, only to match wits with a sexy insurance investigator who will do anything to get her man.
March 23: Blackboard Jungle (1955; 1 hour, 42 minutes): A new English teacher at a violent, unruly inner-city school is determined to do his job, despite resistance from both students and faculty.
March 30: Ocean’s 11(1960; 2 hours, 7 minutes): Danny Ocean gathers a group of his World War II compatriots to pull off the ultimate Las Vegas heist. Together the eleven friends plan to rob five Las Vegas casinos in one night.
